Prentice says - Nostalgia. A feeling that I welcome when accompanied by good memories and feelings that rush in. There are things that I miss dearly about the South. Sweet tea with lemonade, small town meat and three joints, the heat (with this mild San Diego summer), the natural sounds of summer nights, and good blues music. I mean the type of blues you experience in a hole in the wall "juke- joint" in the 80 degree summer night heat. One artist that brings that memory back to me is Howlin' Wolf. He goes hard in his blues, he doesn't let you down. His slide technique will give you chills, and leave you wondering why the hell you've never really given blues a chance. Today, I share this experience with you in the form of "Spoonful". It slides, it howls (as it should), it bleeds, and it screams. Everything that a solid Delta-Style Blues song should exhibit. It helped my ass wake up from a "zombified" state in the shower this morning. It should do the same for you. I love revisiting those nights when I had time to just slow down and take in the world as it surrounded me, with the best soundtrack anyone could ask for. Oh, sweet nostalgia. All thanks to Howlin' Wolf - "Spoonful".

Adam says - Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan collapsed onstage Thursday (July 22nd) night in Tampa, Fla., falling into his drummer's kit as the band performed its 1995 hard rock hit "Bullet with Butterfly Wings." Almost immediately after falling, Corgan got back to his feet and continued playing. The lead singer and guitarist later commented on the incident on his Twitter page."For those that saw me fall last night during Bullet, that wasn't a stage move or clumsiness, that was me blacking out and wiping out," Corgan wrote. "I have no memory of falling against the drum riser and my guitar cabinet, but I can tell you I've got quite a good bruise + am moving slow."

Prentice says - Oh, sweet agony of waking up even earlier this morning. I'm telling you now, my only resolve is the ability to take a hot shower and listen to phenomenal music while doing so. I am convinced that each person has to "discover" a band on their own. No matter the caliber of the band. No matter how many people in your life tell you that you are crazy for never listening to "so and so band." You just can't get into it until it grabs you and develops a personal relationship. For me, that band was The Mars Volta. No matter how many people had told me to listen or scorned me for not listening, I just would not check them out until I was ready or until I was thrown a song from them by fate. Which is exactly how "Inertiatic ESP" fell into my life. The first single and second track from their album De-loused in the Comatorium, "Inertiatic ESP" came on at random, and I fell in love with it. It's very hard not to with Cedric Bixler- Zavala's haunting vocals and the wonderful guitar work of the co-founder of the band Omar Rodriguez- Lopez. Since then, I've been a fan. There is something intriguing about a band in which you find it difficult to pronounce eighty percent of the song titles and band members’ names. I am glad that I came across them existentially, because they have some phenomenal tracks. I can't tell you that though, or tell you to listen. You'll have to find out how they are for yourself. When fate is ready to throw a track your way.

Adam says - One of my personal favorite classic rockstars is "The Boss", Mr. Bruce Springsteen. Not only will he kiss one of his many super fans on the cheek during a show to make her life, he shocks fans once again with a surprise appearance during Alejandro Escovedo's performance at Asbury Park, New Jersey's Stone Pony. Springsteen joined Escovedo on "Always a Friend," a cover of the Rolling Stones' "Beast of Burden" and "Faith". This performance also marks the first time the Rock Hall legend has performed the Stones' Some Girls classics. You can hear your favorite songs from The Boss daily on the X1FM Classic Rock Stream!

Prentice says - I want you think very hard for one second about the best show that you have ever seen. I know, personally, that some of you have seen hundreds of shows and I realize that this may be a little more difficult for you, but think deep down within you to find the show that gave you chills and euphoric tingling. Crowd interaction, noise and the band's connection with the audience are huge factors in this process of difficult "within your soul" searching as well. I remember it well. January 23 2007 at the Tabernacle in Atlanta, GA. It didn't get above twenty degrees that day and we waited eight hours outside the venue to see our favorite band perform a twenty- three song set to less than a thousand people. HUGE energy. HUGE crowd interaction. I was standing front row, and I remember jumping up and down in unison with the entire crowd during "A Kiss to Send Us Off". Naturally, I want to relive this memory and share with you the amazing song as today's shower track, and not let this part of my life die. Think very hard now... What was YOUR shining concert/ show moment?
